I was recently (November of 2009) diagnosed with HSV-1. Of course, it was devastating. I felt filthy. Thought my life was over. Oh, how uneducated I was.

After emotionally accepting it and researching the facts about the disease I went to the local natural grocery store and loaded up on supplements that help control and fight against the virus.

It is hard to accept and to have a positive outlook on life after receiving any news about either forms of Herpes, but I'm not going to roll over and let this virus take my life --socially, physically, mentally, or emotionally.
My life is too beautiful and full of amazing support, friends and family.

I work full time as an administrative assistant, nanny and house/dog sit on the side, and do sales for American Family. I eat fairly healthy, take my daily vitamins and pamper myself as much as I can afford to do. Snowboarding and singing are my passions in life. I love to frolf, hike, travel, grow plants (maybe a funky one here and there :P ), and take my dog to the dog park.

I know I'm not alone, and neither are you. :)
